Dr. Don Harris is an exceptional avian vet! If you have a pet bird don’t take them anywhere else in Miami. I did my research before taking my quaker parrot to him. He called us in quickly and took the time to carefully listen to our concerns. His knowledge and expertise are evident, he have many years of experience in avian medicine and he handled my bird with great care. I especially appreciated that he didn’t need to sedate my bird for blood work. I trust Dr. Harris fully and highly recommend him to anyone seeking expert care for their pet birds.”

Dr. Harris has been our vet for over 13-years. He's saved both my rabbits' lives on multiple occasions. Fair prices. Excellent communication. An absolute wealth of knowledge and information. My 11-year old bunny passed yesterday and I cannot stress how grateful I am to Dr. Harris and his team for her continued care. While she passed in Orlando (NOT under his supervision), it was a valuable lesson about advocacy and education. In the 10+ years of owning this bunny, she was never hospitalized by Dr. Harris. Broken leg, broken pelvis, gi stasis, bladder sludge - Dr. Harris was constantly teaching new information and showing us how to care for her on our own! The one time she IS hospitalized for bladder sludge (again, by a different professional in Orlando), her hip is re-fractured and she goes down. Dr. Harris and his team are absolutely worth the 10-hour round trip. This is an experienced, genuine exotic animals specialist that sets the bar high both for his staff and for you, as a pet owner. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the entire team. And while I cannot conceive a pet to replace Lumi... As long as Dr. Harris is practicing - My future rabbits will be his patients.
