I am very disappointed and actually angry with Kevin and this company. I had a bit of an emergency on November 15th. This issue also sent water to my neighbors below and required them having 2 holes cut into their ceiling. Kevin did show up right away to assess the situation and after cutting a 20” hole in my wall, which he never repaired, he assessed my situation, gave me a price and said he would get back to me. After many attempts to get a contract and a date he said he would give me both by December 13th. Well he didn’t and then he ghosted me. He never responded to any phone calls or texts. So unprofessional! This was the last text I sent to him. “Hi Kevin, I’m still trying to at least get a response from you concerning the repairs you told me you would do. After you initially came to check it out and put a large hole in my living room wall, you told me you would have a contract for me by 12/13 and that you would look at your calendar to come up with a start date. Since then, I haven’t heard a word from you even though I’ve made numerous attempts to get in touch. I have only heard good things about your company and service which is why I was hoping for you to do the job. That is why I am surprised about the no response situation. I don’t even know what to tell the tenants downstairs either. I feel bad that they are dealing with 2 large holes in their ceiling as well. I will be back to my condo from 12/27 thru 1/2 so I would at the very least like a phone call and a contract from you along with an approximate start date. Two months later, we hired SKP Services and ProFlo plumbing and Kyle & Nick took care of us with prompt and professional service. They did an amazing job and charged us $1,000 less than the quote from J&R. I highly recommend them and would never hire or recommend J&R to anyone.

John and Kevin resolved our plumbing issue in our bathroom .They found the issue and fixed it as the other company we called sent 4 plumbers and still never resolved the issue .I will always use them .Thanks again !! Great job !

Mr “R” does not exist anymore (I wonder why) and it seems they’ve burned any and every “apprentice” or “helper” there mediocre Craigslist advertising can take advantage of. Please tread lightly to this failing, faint hearted, highway robbery “plumbing” company who is preying on poor elderly of the 55+ community of Bay pines Sea Towers located on coincidentally on route 666 bay pines 4570 Cove Circle North, St. Petersburg, FL 33708Services: Water tank installation

This company is taking advantage of people who live in the adult community. They took advantage of us in our circumstances, and wanted to charge us 3x more for non-plumbing work (take out 2 pocket doors, fix the sheet rock wall, build a half wall where one pocket door was, and sheetrock a new cieling, all this is in a small kitchen bearly 10x10, they wanted 13k. All structures are non-load bearing walls). When we decided to shop around for other contractors, they told us either they do all the job or none. So they decided to walk out on the agreed plumbing work. On top of that, they turn aound smear our reputaion with false accusations to our HOA and neighbors. Very very bad hearted people. That's all I can say.

Kevin of J & R recently completed a shower remodel for me and I am extremely pleased with the results. He replaced an old jacuzzi tub with a walk-in stone and glass shower - a lot of work for a very reasonable price. The remodel was done in two weeks and turned out even better than I had pictured. Kevin has an exceptional work ethic; he is courteous and punctual and explained each step of the process in advance.

UPDATE: I had to change my review based on a referral I gave to my in-laws. They called John to come do some plumbing work on a house they bought, which was 6 streets over from his J&R's home/ office. After charging them $7000, and doing part of the work (had to wait for cabinets to be installed to finish) the next day the contractor showed up to the house and water was flooding the front yard. My father-in-law called John to come out. He said his guy was on a remodel job and could not come over and he was out of pocket. Told him he would have to wait a couple of days. So there are crews there that need access to water and he would not send anyone over. He called McGill plumbing and they sent someone over right away. After they looked at the hookup line, it was plumbed wrong and blew off due to the pressure. It was then we they all noticed no shut off valves under the sinks!!!
Once the cabinets were installed the contractor talked to J&R and he said he was going to charge him to come back out to hook up the water in the kitchen. This was supposed to be in the original $7000 estimate.
Stay away from these people as they do the least amount they can to get a job done. No excuse as to not putting shut off values on sinks and not knowing how to connect a water line. Especially after charging $7000!!
Old review: Water Heater was leaking, called around and got some pretty high prices for a 30 gallon Water Heater install. Had seen J&R's van in our neighborhood, so I gave them a call. John and his crew were out within an hour.
