These people are TERRIBLE and deserve to be out of business they are not there for the animals they are there for money and could care less if they were the cause of injury or death to your pet. Majority if not all are incompetent selfish people that lie perfectly healthy pets suddenly having spinal problems paralyzed under their care their reasoning all over the place different diagnosis from every employee can’t keep a straight story and disgusting people. Will be hearing from my attorney.

My brother sent his two perfectly healthy frenchies to this place for boarding. On the last day, these evil people called my brother up stating his one frenchie could not walk. These people were all over the place when questioned how this happened. Rest assured we will get to the bottom of what really happened. We will not let these people get away with anything. The truth will prevail. “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth”

THIS place is a nightmare. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE unless you want them dead, paralyzed, injured, traumatized, tortured! My brother took his 2 healthy AAND WALKING dogs there for boarding and came back home with one of his dogs unable to walk on both back legs. (In short, staff made up so many different stories and even told him the wrong pet name, they were unable to give a full explanation of what happen. All made up diagnosis. They DO NOT deserve to be in business! STAY AWAY if you love your pet.

Took both of my frenchies for boarding one of my dogs came back paralyze he can’t walk on both of his back legs they called us in didn’t even know the name of the dogs staff where saying broken spin other saying broken joints they where all over the place nervous as they where speaking to me would not recommend this place now we waiting on videos to see what happened. my dog was perfectly fine when we dropped him off had no issues

I would not recommend this place to anyone! I’ve spent thousands of dollars there within just the past year (let alone the previous years) just to get hung up on for asking questions about my bill. The receptionist was very rude and unprofessional. The prices are insanely high and no one even tells you what it’s going to cost for the other services they recommended they just throw it on your bill. It used to be a pleasure going to see Dr. George and I’m very disappointed in the way his practice is ran now.

I have brought several pets here over the years and had no issues. Most recently, we brought in our cat who had labored breathing. It was my first time meeting Dr George and he was very caring and thorough. I see wonderful reviews from others about him and understand why. A few weeks after treatment, my cat had another episode and I had to take him to an emergency vet and he later passed. I had not notified Highlands yet but received a very nice card from Dr George, which was much appreciated. I'm assuming the emergency vet notified them.
My only issue here is that staff seem rushed and disconnected at times. I brought my cat in for urgent care and called in advance. While my cat was in his carrier with breathing issues and panting, the tech was looking at the screen going through his list (asking about nail trims, etc) and had not even looked at my cat to see his condition. I had to cut him off and once he looked in the carrier, things moved swiftly. Not sure if it is an issue with understaffing or training, but seems like that could be easily addressed. Overall, I recommend Highlands and especially Dr. George.

Highlands Animal Hospital is wonderful! The staff is always, pleasant, helpful and professional. Dr Alison Frankenberger is an excellent doctor. She has empathy & compassion. She explains things very well so that pet owners understand everything. She always returns phone calls. I highly recommend her.
