Great service. Great price. Fixed the problem correctly the first time after I had another company come out 2 times for clogged drains and did not fix. Call total pipeline if you want the job done right at a reasonable cost.

Bottom Line: They provided a great service, gave me lots of useful information, and did not try to upsell me to something I did not need. Bottom Line: They provided a great service, gave me lots of useful information, and did not try to upsell me to something I did not need. If I do need power cleaning, I will definitely call these guys. Oh, and the price was way less than I expected and less than what was estimated. My plumber advised me to call Total Pipeline Cleaning Services to check out my 1973 cast iron drainage pipes after having to rescue me from a backup for the second time in 2 months. He said they were reliable and could "power wash" my pipe if they were the root cause of my backups.Mike and his team came out and chatted with me about my ongoing problems. The first thing they did was to run a video camera through the pipes from one end to the other. They showed me the video and concluded I did not need them to charge me $300/hr to blast my pipes. They showed me how the majority line was pretty good, nice and round and little corrosion to hang up TP and poop. Near the exit end, the pipes were a little worse, but he said not worth blasting. He warned that blast can damage old pipes like this and actually cause a much more expensive fix. He said he noticed a "wet wipe" still in the system and we had not put one down the toilet for 2 weeks. He said NEVER toss those down the toilet. He also said the type of TP can matter. Charmin and Northern are "strong" because they use more glue. That means they don't dissolve in water, and we did see some wads still in the system. He said use Angel Soft, as it dissolves very well. You can show it by putting some in a bucket and stirring it around, then do the same for Charmin/Northern. He said for us to try this "paper diet" for a while before deciding an a power cleaning. He also said disposals are terrible, be we knew that and rarely use it. He also said the new low-flow toilets don't work well with these old "rough" pipes. They just spit out a little water at a relatively slow rate, which means it is not transporting the TP down the drain fast enough, then you can get build up. He advises we get a pressure assisted toilet to give it a good thrust down the system. I am also going to try to do my business before a shower so I get that extra shower water helping out. Furthermore, he said be very careful with Drano. If you flush it out well you will be ok, but if it sits in the cast iron pipes, it can cause corrosion. The biggest surprise was when they removed the master toilet to do the video. There were tree roots coming up from the foundation (not through pipes) and they were living on the little water that might leak from the toilet. (We have a giant banyan tree which shoots roots out everywhere. It is beautiful but deadly). I happened to have some of the blue copper sulfate used as root killer. He said that is good and the sprinkled some on the area before replacing the toilet. In addition to walking me through the video as the made it, they left me a copy on USB so I could use it for estimates or any other need. If a company won't do that, don't hire them. Finally, they drew me a map of my drainage system and the total length in case I wanted to get a company to line my pipes. He says lining runs from $90 to $150 a foot, so you want to exhaust all other options first.
