We are still waiting to close on our home in Wysteria. We were suppose to be closing in June and now it's September and still no closing date. If I hear we're close one more time, I think I'll lose my mind. We were stupid to believe the sales pitch. I hope someone can learn from our mistake.

We closed on our house in Windward (Sarasota Lakewood Ranch) November 2022. This was a spec home so we had no say in finishes but knew what they would be. Because our kitchen wasn't finished at closing, We were given a letter that they owed us all of the things that the kitchen still needed in terms of cabinetry, pulls, paint, and touch up work. All the things. We still are waiting! We have built several homes with different builders and working with Neil communities has been extraordinarily disappointing. We signed our contact mid January 2021, we were told 8-10 months (closer to 10) here we are at the end of December with no close date in sight. Communication and transparency with construction has been horrific. We’ve taken to social media with our numerous complaints; incorrect elevation, incorrect plumbing, electrical (which my husband and I had to point out) Having to chose new quartz and cabinets, the list goes on and on. They have blocked me on social media. Their VP of sales called my husband and I “combative” when we tried to voice that our concerns had nothing to do with sales.
