The first time I met her, I walked in planning to get my usual safe, boring nail color because I’m a creature of habit and apparently afraid of personal growth. She took one look at my choice and said, “Absolutely not,” and proceeded to drag me out of my comfort zone like a nail-design life coach. And somehow… she was right. My nails always look amazing and I now trust her judgment more than my own.

But the real test of character happened during my last visit.

My feet showed up after a long day at work and let’s just say they had developed a personality… and that personality was aggressive. The kind of smell that makes you question your life choices. The kind of smell that can only be described as environmentally hazardous. The kind of smell that should probably come with a warning label..

Did she recoil? Did she open a window? Did she call the CDC? No. This woman handled it like the professional she is and kept right on working like nothing was happening.

Flawless nails. Incredible talent. The patience of a saint. The bravery of a firefighter.

If she can survive my feet and still make them look cute, there’s truly nothing she can’t handle.“
