Health First Health Plans

Worst company ever , the network is solely Advent Drs . My experience has been horrific over a simple hernia that wasn’t diagnosed properly for over a year . Post surgery chronic pain with zero relief or resolve . Zero Drs qualified to do the complex surgery I need to correct the damage and remove the mesh..They have denied my only option for surgery due to out of network . All based on zero research or clinical data . The referred surgeons in network have no experience in this complex surgery , but those are my options . Complete incompetent customer service and leadership team .. Go with someone better with a bigger network outside of Advent ..

If zero stars where avaliable it would be zero...my wife is receiving chemotherapy treatments from Health First...on week 3 she was on her 3rd chemo treatment when she was told Health First denied a chemo medication that is necessary...we have Health First Insurance and was receiving treatment at a Health First infusion clinic...sadly Health First has put profit over life saving treatment...I never would think a Health organization that advertises itself as putting patient care first would raise its ugly head and reveal its true self....Terry Forde, CEO you need to reevaluate Health Firsts commitment to patient care...and after years of making donations for new equipment… read full review

I sincerely hope if you are you looking for an insurance company that you do not make a mistake and call these people because you will never actually speak to a human being. They never return calls and have left me on hold for hours at a time.
Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you need insurance.
Tried again and was on hold for over an hour with no response.
Just remember folks if this company is going to make providers wait for hours on end they are certain to do worse to customers.
Save your money and your health and avoid this company.
