We started our pool renovation plan with Popa Pools in August of 2022 after they came highly recommended by our trusted very established pool maintenance team. They actually said, “We would only trust ONE pool company with your pool. Call Popa Pools.” At that time, we simply needed the basic 15 year resurfacing of our pool. We did interview five Charlotte County pool companies before I asked for advice from our pool maintenance company. We then met with Brandon of Popa Pools and signed our contract to move forward with the renovation that year. Shortly after, Hurricane IAN hit in late September of 2022 and our peaceful and basically unblemished world in SWFL turned upside down. With IAN our cage, pool and lanai were ruined. Brandon worked closely with me to rebuild our life here in Placida…no easy task. It took months for us here in SWFL to clear and clean from the hurricane and then for the supply chain to find some degree of normal again, but when we did, we started the first pool renovations…a step by step process…of our pool, lanai and cage. Brandon guided us through choosing tile and coping and the pool finish. Every time I flinched at trying to decide, his experienced eye knew exactly which product or color to select. He is absolutely an expert in his field. As the product was delivered and we prepared for the renovation to begin, Brandon continued his friendly personable phone calls to keep us updated. He did this along with many visits to our property. When the Popa Pools team began our renovation they were efficient and polite and all business. Their professionalism was spot on and they did not miss a beat. We totally enjoyed seeing them every day that they worked here. One day during their lunch break, Danny actually showed me how to cast a net from our dock for mullet! They were all a special treat to have working for us here and we send a special thank you to “the guys” for everything. Brandon, also, will not miss a beat. He is smart and personable and knows his business and his guys. He has total and complete trust in his team. They all speak very highly of each other which is important to the customer who is always listening. Brandon is also a great champion in Charlotte County volunteering in so many capacities. He has a great love and respect for the community he lives in. It is obvious that Brandon is loving and devoted family man who is dedicated to his wife and children. We spent 36 years as a military family living all over this country and overseas. We worked with Brandon for almost two years on our pool rebuild. Brandon is an honest and capable man and one of the finest we have ever met or worked with. We feel sure that any task he takes on in his life will be mastered with precision and dedication. And then enters…Phil, Brandon’s dad, who started the company many years ago. What a total joy he is. Again, experience speaks for itself. Phil treated us as if he had known us forever. What an honor to met this humble kind man…who is also full of fun…and started this wonderful company. Hooray for Charlotte County to have them in our county! You do not have to think twice about using Popa Pools for your pool build or renovation. They are at the top of the heap. Their honesty, integrity and professionalism sets them apart from all others. My ONLY regret is that we didn’t have TWO pools for Popa Pools to renovate!
We can't say enough good things about Popa Pools and Spas. In 2022 we mistakenly contracted with a company which turned out to be dishonest, unreliable and in general disgraceful leading us to terminate our contract (we did not do enough homework). After much searching we found Popa Pools whose reviews and reputation were excellent (we did our homework). We met with Brandon and Phil Popa and felt very comfortable trusting them when they told us that everything will turn out beautiful; we went over our choices and needs. Since it's a family owned business Brandon has the assets, knowledge and experience, and of course Phil, which was to our advantage. We signed with them and they began work immediately. To say they were highly professional is an understatement. The team that worked on our pool was responsible, reliable, respectful and loved their work. Whenever we called Brandon he returned the call, he kept us informed every step of the way; if there was a problem they took care of it in a very timely manner.
