I usually don’t leave reviews, but after my fourth visit to the Port Orange office of Blue Ocean Dermatology, I feel compelled to share my experience.
First, I want to highlight Gloria—she is an absolute sweetheart and always provides excellent care, same goes for Alexis who treated me before. However, the receptionist, Ronda, needs to improve her interactions with patients. She rarely makes eye contact, doesn’t greet patients warmly, and comes across as dismissive and rude. I previously mentioned this issue to Gloria, who said she would bring it up to the "owner," Jason, but unfortunately, nothing has changed.
Sure Jason is awesome but it's his practice. The real heros are the support staff. One of Jason's MAs is Lisa. This lady rocks! I've needed a preauthorization for a medication. That my insurance was going round and round with me. Lisa makes one phone call and the problem is solved! After 6 months of waiting for medication I need. Lisa gets it done! Thank you Lisa.

I went to go see Nitra Welch and had the most comfortable experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. Including my own primary. She was calming and understanding and I left with every bit of information I needed to care for my issue. Had I went to her in May, I probably wouldn’t have needed to come now (in the end of August). Her and her team of nurses comforted me while I had to receive an injection. I have a an extremely bad phobia and started breaking out into a sweat and these sweet ladies fanned me down and talked me through it all. Extremely nice people here. Not to mention I got pretty bad anxiety and they made me feel at ease.
