“I found Roy through Google search and was surprised to find his little shop upstairs behind a buzz in door above a bustling NY diamond district type establishment. Being my first time, I didn't know what to expect. I was bringing three 30-year-old or older Seiko watches to get looked at and hopefully get fixed or get batteries put in. When I got there I was the only one and they immediately took my watches and Roy looked at them and before I knew it, he came to the counter and he had already put in the batteries for two of them. I mean it was just that quick. I think it was $15 a battery for 2 of my watches. Unfortunately my favorite, the third watch had been destroyed by a leaky battery. He told me it was a deep six and threw it in the trash. I don't know, it was hard throwing away something that meant a lot to me but I'm glad he told me to throw it away andI just trusted him when he told me it just wouldn't be worth it for me to have the timepiece fixed as it would be too costly.. I'm glad he told me to do it and I'm glad I threw it away. I think it's good to have someone who knows what they're doing who is honest and who tells you straight up and he doesn't try to take your money unnecessarily.It was a really good experience for me. In the time I was waiting, a small line had formed. He's pretty busy and from what I can see he does quite a bit of work on a lot of different watches.I'm really upset that I let one of my watches die but he told me not to let that happen again and made sure I knew to come back in in about 2 years and to wear my watches. I mean it's pretty basic information but it's always nice to have someone who really cares.You can stand there and see him work although it's hard to see exactly what he's doing behind his desk unless you're very tall. But you can see that he's honest and you can make sure that you can always keep an eye on your jewelry if that's a concern for you. I can't say that he does all his work while you wait and I'm sure there are items that you may have to leave for him. It was just nice that he took me immediately. I never expected that.I'll definitely be back and I'll definitely recommend him.This is an honest review. You can see my other reviews and can see that I don't give every establishment five stars.“

“I had the pleasure of meeting Cliff and his Wife today at the recommendation of a lady at JCPennys. I had a Gucci wrist watch that was 45 years old which I had not touched in a while. Fearful of the battery being corroded and not being able to use it again, I took it to Cliff. He was able to install a new battery and was ever so pleasant and wonderful to deal with. I left his store happy and delighted that I could use my treasured Gucci wrist watch again. Thank you to Cliff and his wife (also a lovely friendly lady). I highly recommend them for your watch repair needs.“
