I can't praise these ladies enough on how good they are at cutting hair. I make sure to tip my stylist/barber a minimum of $20. Not just for her skill at cutting hair but also for her hospitality and genuine character. Both the ladies I met today were super sweet and I'll be back to visit every chance I get.

*Seriously, tip these girls, they deserve it.

Christine is the BEST. She’s quick, easygoing, and always makes the whole process simple. I go in for my back and she gets me in and out with no hassle. Great service, great personality, and a great person all the way around. Highly recommend.

Online check-in with reminders is easy and seemless and staff is very friendly, professional and my stylist listened to what I was looking for and did a fantastic job.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience really made me uncomfortable.

I’ve been a regular customer, coming in weekly, but after what happened, I will not be returning. During my last visit, the owner called me into a separate room to question me about how much tip I left. That situation felt very inappropriate, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Tipping should always be voluntary, and addressing it in that manner crossed a boundary for me.

Additionally, the pricing is not transparent. The sign advertises $10 haircuts, but if you come in close to closing time, the price goes up to $15, and if you pay with a card, it becomes $18. On top of that, there is constant upselling, and I’ve ended up paying more than expected multiple times.

Because of this experience, the uncomfortable interaction, and the overall negative atmosphere, I’ve decided not to return. I’d rather pay double or even triple somewhere else and have a respectful, professional experience.

It’s disappointing because they lost a loyal customer over something that could have been handled very differently.

Been going to Mistress of the Blade for a while. Great place to get a haircut if you are in the Pompano area. Super nice, meticulous, precise, and professional.
