I applied for the Navy Federal Credit Union Underwriter position which detailed pay rate for my area was 35.92 and I confirmed the amount on phone with Robert (Blake) Towson. After doing video interview the pay rate coincidentally was then lowered to 33.60 when it became obvious I wasn’t Caucasian.I was selected for interview with the credit union on Thursday and by Friday they extended job offer.That following Monday Blake called advising me nonchalantly that pay rate was now 31$ saying it was mistake on their end.I reviewed job posting and no correction was ever made. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. If you are looking for a job and thinking about using this company, please read all of this. This company lacks communication with employees called contractors. Many companies will give a bonus to the recruiters who bring a contractor through training, however there is no incentive for them to complete, or extend your contract. If you are looking for an in at a big company such as Navy Federal, this is not the company to go through. Navy Federal hires two contractors for every one position that COULD come available. Very matriarchal internal structure and it shows with overflow of emotions in decision making and negotiations. If you are a man, I would steer far away from these people, they look at you like scum/property. I worked for them for years and have seen the countless ways they take advantage of clients and contractors. They think they're "breaking the glass ceiling" but they're actually just giving clients underqualified temp workers. TekSystems is favoring diversity of physical attributes over diversity of skill.
