Spent 9 years or so of my childhood/teenage years here (1990's guy). Achieved a 2nd dan black belt in the old system. I know Master Little very well; he held a critical position of stability in my life as a father figure and role model. This was the old days; from a broken home, mom drops you off from 5pm-9pm 4-5 days a week. I easily averaged 20-25hrs a week as a student under RLMA, anyone from those days will remember my presence in line. Wayland Little is the reason I try to become a better human every day when I get up. I have never seen this man be anything but kind and righteous. I could write a bible for the wisdom I gained here. Imagine, if you will the film "the karate kid" now imagine a reality where Mr. Miyagi dojo and the cobra kai's were in one school and everyone got along with respect and kindness; that's RLMA. Very skilled students (multiple state/national grand champions) mesh with beginners and intermediates to share their skills and passion for martial arts. Yes, you will learn how to fight, you will also learn to be DISCIPLINED and patient. Pass through these doors with anxiety and fear;..... Walk out completely fearless when you leave.
