We found the funeral representative to be very knowledgeable and forthcoming with all the information we sought. We appreciated their honesty in revealing that they were on the higher end of cost compared with others in the community. Our only criticism was that we wanted to secure cashiers checks from our bank for the monies owed. That way the money was out of our account and we wouldn’t have to wait for a personal check to clear. We were assured that our checks would be automatically deposited the same day we handed them over. The truth was that the biggest checks had to be mailed to the insurers and this has taken several days to clear our account.
Oak lawn funeral home and their staff have serviced my needs three times. Unfortunately previously, two members had passed and oaklawn took care of the services. When my wife passed this time Oak Lawn made it a priority to assist me without fail. The personnel there showed such care and compassion with handling my loved one and myself. I would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone with the unfortunate need to contract for such a service.
Because my parents had pre-planned their arrangements, we were able to plan our mother’s funeral. The people at Oaklawn were most helpful, guiding us through the process. We had a beautiful service and they made arrangements to process to the National Cemetery!
