I have struggled with Hirsutism on my chin and down my neck for years. I tried laser about 7 years ago, but my hair ended up coming back with a vengeance. I then tried self managing the hair growth with other methods that never really worked. Waxing causes me to break out in a rash, threading didn’t work, and tweezing was my easiest “at home solution” but I was constantly getting ingrown hairs or pimples from constantly irritating the skin. It got so bad at one point that I was worried if I continued tweezing, I’d end up scaring my skin permanently. Shaving was another option, but even that wasn’t fool proof (I still would have a 5 o’clock shadow by the end of the day). I was extremely self conscious of this excessive hair growth. I tan, but my skin is on the lighter side, so when dark coarse hairs start to show up, they are VERY noticeable. I love when my husband holds my cheek while we kiss, but I didn’t want him to even do that for fear that he would touch my “witches beard”. I even would make jokes with my girlfriends that I should be a witch for Halloween because I already have the facial hair for it lol 😂 FINALLY I said, enough all ready! I don’t want to permanently scar my skin, something has to change and it has to be fixed. *I first contacted a hormone specialist to draw my blood work to make sure that it wasn’t imbalanced hormones causing the excessive hair growth. After my Dr told me that all my hormone levels were “optimal”. (**It’s important to find a practitioner that doesn’t check for “normal” but instead “optimal”. A dr can say you have “normal” hormones but that doesn’t mean anything. Find someone who makes sure that your body is operating at an “optimal” level.) Once I got everything at “optimal” level, I sought out to find an skin care professional who specialized in electrolysis. I have been religiously seeing Odalys since the beginning of April for 1 hour every week. The results are absolutely astonishing. I am over the moon pleased with the results. About 60% of the hairs are gone and the ones that have grown back are thinner, lighter in color, and are growing at a really slow pace. I’ve gone from shaving everyday to shaving maybe once a week. Although all results do and can vary, I am proud to say that I am definitely a success story! Thank you Odalys for helping me get my confidence back!! I still have a ways to go with the process, but I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that I am almost at the finish line!! I’m excited to be hair free very soon!
