Going to Florida after Mom passed on February 12, 2024, was a surreal experience. My emotions were in turmoil, my thoughts awry. This was going to be a whole new experience, called making arrangements. Thankfully we had Bell's Funeral Home and the team led by Jessica Arroyo overseeing every last detail. From my first encounter and throughout I felt at ease with their handling of our needs. Jessica knew what questions to ask and how to guide our grieving family as we sought to honour Mom and her final wishes. Who knew that so much was involved? As we went through the process, Jessica was very respectful of us and patiently fielded our questions and many course changes. She made our options very clear, she was pleasant, efficient, supportive and courteous, and her staff equally so at the celebration of life for Mom and the final reflections at her resting place in the memorial park. It was a surreal time for us, with grief chasing us and the new reality without Mom demanding our attention. But through our many phone calls and meetings, Jessica and her team guided us, comforted and encouraged us, and made it all bearable. Jessica is the best funeral director out there. Nobody can ever be better than her. This funeral home is extremely lucky to have someone like her, seriously! Jessica's attention to detail made the funeral service into a beautiful and meaningful tribute. She was very committed to creating a service that resonates with our deepest wishes. For instance, I had a slideshow for my dad with 100 photos. I sent her one song, but I did not know that the video that compiled the images would be too long for one song only. Jessica added two more songs for the video. She specifically chose the songs and whispered to me and my mom during the service that each song was dedicated to us. I was in tears because I miss my dad so much and through the songs that Jessica chose, it was as if we were communicating with each other again. It was such a beautiful moment. I could tell that she listened to me when I talked to her about my dad because the lyrics to the song resonated with me so much. My heart was so touched. It's not just about the exceptional service she provides, it's about the genuine connection and comfort she extends to those grappling with loss. Jessica goes above and beyond. Losing my dad was very difficult, but planning his service was made a lot easier because of Jessica. I genuinely believe that my dad led me to Jessica. Jessica isn't just a funeral director to me. She's been a caring friend. She turned a complex task into a heartfelt tribute that exceeded expectations. Where do I start? With the death of my sister being unexpected and devastating, Bell’s Funeral Home and Cremation took very good care of us. From the moment me and my family met Mikara and her staff, we felt welcome. The place and decor is warm and inviting. Mikara walked us through everything with patience, care and comfort. We felt we were in good hands. We could call or text anytime all the way up to the funeral service and we would get a guided response. The staff is amazing and caring and worked with us whenever we needed help. My mom recently passed away and we were referred to Bell's Funeral Home. My sister when we arrived was happy because she had recently attended another funeral service with The Bells. Well we were happy the first time we arrived as we were greeted with smiles and the task did not seem daunting. Valencia welcomed us in and made us feel at ease. On our second visit we met with Mrs. Bell who also greeted us with a smile and went over the costs and all our options.We were happy with the rates and so we decided to go with them. We made a deposit thinking we would have time but less than a week later our mom passed. We called and were happy to see that they remembered who we were. They expressed their condolences and throughout the entire planning stage we never felt pressured or rushed. I spoke on several occasion with Jessica, who walked me through putting everything together. They held my hand the entire way I thought they were close family friends. Jessica recommended a few great songs for our slide show that spoke to me regarding my mom. I was pleased with everything from start to finish. the program was beautiful. They followed all our instructions with regards to color, flowers and how we wanted the program and slide show. During the service we did not know how to start the hymn as everyone appeared shy but Mr. Thomas jumped in without question and it was delightful. The video brought tears to my eyes but what stuck out to me was Ms. Jessica was also in tears. They showed so much compassion and patience. I think the service Bells Funeral services provide is very personal and I would recommend them every time. My mom looked amazing. Her makeup and hair was top notch people commented on how beautiful she looked, she was smiling and they said they never saw anyone look so beautiful. From the moment I called Jessica, which happens to be 1 hour after my mom's death, she put me at ease. She was always in contact with me, always updating me on the process, always willing to answer each and every question- and I would often have to repeat the questions due to my grief process. However, she was so incredibly patient! And her energy wasn't full of melancholy and sadness. And that was good for me, because I didn't need anymore of that around me.
