There is something special about Emerald Coast. While it is true that you win what you put in, the efforts are well worth being an in-patient here, as long as you trust the process, participate and take some patience with yourself along the way.
This place has some of the most amazing people in the industry. They really do care and will help you in any way they can. And if you need to rest here and there, you don't get penalized. Thier classes of music and art are fun and insightful. Thier food was delicious ! And sometimes you can just kick back and watch a movie. During my 10 day stay other patients were generally respectful. I have been in two other psyche wards, one here in Jacksonville FL and one in Phoenix Arizona and they were both two of the worst experiences of my life. I was able to share my thoughts with the staff and also with the doctor and the parents. When I told the doctor what my husband was doing to me telling me I'm slow and stupid and that my mother die to keep from coming back to me he told me to get a divorce he was no good for me and I also shared it with some of the stuff they told me the same thing now I'm getting a divorce and I'm struggling cause I can't make him leave until I get a divorce but thanks to ya'll I'm going to make it my appointment is the 25th wish me luck.
