Highly recommend this practice and especially Dr Howell! The practice is efficient and professional & Dr Howell was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The previous practice we went to took hours and our dogs were agitated but here they get you in and out but don’t rush you, all my questions were answered thoroughly, but my dogs were able to be in and out quickly. I feel confident about my dogs healthcare. Great practice and doctor!

Dr. Howell and her team took great care of my little sick kitten. They were so gentle and sweet to him as if he were their kitten. Dr Howell explained everything regarding test and treatments. She didn’t make me feel rushed or like she needed to be elsewhere. I really appreciated their time and we will continue care here. Picture of my wittle sick boy.

I had a bad experience with critter care here in Panama City. I had taken my elderly dog to critter care for some incontinence issues my girl started having. While there they suggested we try some arthritis oral meds. As soon as I put my old lady on these meds she lost mobility it her back legs. It was horrifying. I called and called, emailed and emailed. I kept getting told “the doctor will call you when she can” they called me once, I missed their call and called them back immediately with no response. I showed up to crittercare and asked what we could do and they suggested Dramamine. What is that going to do? She’s not nauseous or dizzy she can’t fricking walk and she’s peeing and pooping all over herself. Their lack of professionalism and care is what led me to bay animal hospital. Lily has gotten better under their care and I can truly see they care for every animal that comes into their establishment.

Been taking my 2 baby dogs here since last year 2023. And I’m very happy I have found them online and switched clinics. The clinic is very clean, all the staff are friendly and accomodating. Dr. Huff and his staff always took good care of my fur babies and are very knowledgeable. I love the Otto app they use also, so easy to chat with them if I have any questions.

I have been entrusting my furbabies care to Dr. Ruff for 5 yrs. BIG MISTAKE! What I thought was confidence in his abilities, is nothing more than Arrogance. Last year Violet, my 4 yr old corgi starting having repeated UTI’s all diagnosed by urinalysis. Not once did Dr. Ruff suggest a urine culture. Instead he jumped to X-Ray, which did not show anything. Her 4th UTI Dr. Ruff ordered an Ultrasound and diagnosed Violet with a Cystine bladder stone. Two Ultrasounds later and another UTI, Dr. Ruff insisted she needed a Cystotomy to remove the stone. On July 2, shortly after dropping Violet off for surgery I get a call from a Vet tech (I later found out was Jill Ruff) explaining “Violet was on the table under anesthesia & upon performing a 3rd ultrasound it appeared the bladder stone shrunk and Dr. Ruff needed ME to decide if he should move forward with surgery.” What?? Just two weeks prior based on a 2nd ultrasound Dr. Ruff said her bladder stone had gotten lager and that it had moved. Feeling confused, I asked to speak to Dr. Ruff. Jill very curtly told me “I couldn’t” explaining I needed to “decide quickly because they didn’t want to keep Violet under for too long.” I pushed back saying “I need Dr. Ruff to advise. . .” at which she blurted “HE Doesn’t Know What to do!” Finally Dr. Ruff came to the phone explaining Violet “Definitely had a bladder stone or a mass.” I agreed to surgery wondering all day what the reasoning was behind the call only to find from Dr. Ruff after surgery Violet Definitely DID NOT have a bladder stone or a mass. What he previously thought was a stone, was in fact scar tissue that caused a pelvic adhesion. He charged me $1000-full price for a surgery she DIDN’T need. Two days after painful unnecessary Open surgery, which could possibly cause more scar tissue leading to another pelvic adhesion, Violet has another UTI. His staff finally called to check on Violet 4 days after surgery & I explained her symptoms. 8 days post op and still no return call from Dr. Ruff. I have since spoken to several people who have similar stories of Dr. Ruff misdiagnosing their dog. Dr. Ruff is clearly too arrogant to admit when he is wrong or when something is beyond his expertise-like reading an ultrasound. His wife, Jill is right-“He doesn’t know what to do”
