We have a German shorthaired pointer (Louie Dash) . Louie stayed at “boarding school” (ACC) for 2 weeks when Louie was 6 months old . We wanted to instill good values and good habits at an early age . We knew recall was our number one priority (especially with this breed). Louie is now 15 months and his recall is phenomenal! He comes to us even when there is something way more interesting (ie: rabbits, squirrels, bunnies ). We do use the e collar. Riley trained Louie,my husband and I how and when to use it.
