MIKA presents many different programs for Palm Bay area families to take part in. Karate classes for the youngest students up to adults; Ninja Trix, which has a great balance of gymnastics, parkour and self-defense; After-school care AND day camp for school age children; and even the Parent's night out once a month for those of you who need a couple hours child free. I cannot say enough good things about the Academy, the staff is amazing and command the respect due them while being respectful of their students at the same time. My grandson's Cub Scout Pack was welcomed today and introduced to the Ninja Trix program. The class started off as any good fitness program does - with a warmup. A quick "Simon Says"-like game taught the kids how to listen and show respect to the coaches with "Yes, Ma'am" or "Yes, Sir". Forward rolls (somersaults) and a little work on a safety vault before tackling the obstacle course. Much more was packed into the hour with the coaches taking the time to help individuals who were struggling with a new concept. I am proud of all our Cubs that participated today, but I am also very proud of the staff that made it all possible.
Mika is an amazing facility. Not only do they have summer camp but they also have after school care, birthday parties, and of course Karate classes. Pricing is affordable and well worth what is received. Here you are not only part of the group but it is a family that helps your child grow into a proud and respectful leader!
