About Halifax Plantation Golf Club
Halifax Plantation Golf Club is a beautiful and enjoyable golf course nestled among century-old oaks and tall pines in Central Florida. Designed by Bill Amick, the course attracts golfers of various ages and skill levels. The golf course is situated within the Halifax Plantation subdivision and offers a nice grass driving range and practice area, complete with a sand bunker. The service is first-rate, and the clubhouse is described as nice. The course appears to be well-maintained, with greens in good condition. Prices for golf with a cart are described as decent, although some reviewers would like to see more competitive membership prices. The course is praised for its classic "Old Florida" beauty and the fact that every hole feels private due to its spread-out design. Reviewers also appreciated the friendly staff and the presence of wildlife on the course. The golf greens are described as the best in the area, and the course is in good shape. The fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers are also mentioned positively, although the rough can be challenging. The restaurant, pro shop, and driving range are all praised, and the staff is described as nice and helpful. The restaurant offers a delicious menu, including a Mahi salad and a Filet Mignon dinner that is said to be "like butter soft." Golfers can choose to dine in the pub-style area or the more formal restaurant-style seating area, with the same high-quality food served from the kitchen.
