This Mom is crying happy tears today 😭❤️ My son was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome last year, and one of his biggest tic triggers were his glasses. It had gotten to the point where he was having dozens of tics a minute. I called what seemed like every optometrist in the Orlando area, begging for them to let him try contact lenses, but as soon as they heard he was 8 years old they told me he was too young and that was it. Wouldn’t even try. So a couple weeks ago I made a Facebook post explaining our situation and how my heart was breaking for my son. A wonderful optometrist, Amanda Stebbins at the Spectacle Shop in Orlando, messaged me saying that she was more than happy to let him try contacts, and to make an appointment. Well today was that day, AND LOOK WHO IS ROCKING HIS NEW CONTACTS! 🤘🏻 He’s only had them in for about an hour, and I can already see a significant difference in his tics. I’m just so proud of him and happy he can be less stressed about something he could not control. And look at that handsome happy face! 😍 SO THANK YOU AMANDA! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for literally changing his life today. Highly highly recommend the Spectacle Shop to anyone looking for a new eye doctor.

I like this place, great Dr and staff pleasant, however they do not have glasses that are even remotely affordable. My allowance for glasses each year through my insurance is $240 and I’m told they don’t have any I can select from, so I have to ask for discontinued glasses which still cost more than my allowance!!!! How’s that possible. Maybe they can carry a range for people who do not have unlimited amounts of money? 🙏🏻
