Dr. Barot is great as is the rest of the staff on a personal basis. But, I can NEVER get to talk to anyone if I call. I just called and was told there was one person in front of me and was put on hold. Twenty minutes later...still haven't spoken to anyone. Dr. Barot says to be sure to let him know if I need anything. I'm suppose to have surgery in a few days, and haven't been able to let him know.
Care in this facility is mediocre. They don't honor appointment times very well. Most of the time you end up waiting well after your appointment time to see the doctor or for chemo treatment. They don't have enough chairs so cancer patients can sit down. Many are elderly or in pain forced to stand. The place is small and cramped. They herd patients in & out like a cattle call. You don't feel human here, like you are a number. The African American woman who takes blood for the doctor has an attitude. She acts like she doesn't want to be there. Absolutely no compassion from her what so ever. The check in staff is polite most of the time unless you ask a question. Then they seem annoyed. The Indian woman giving chemo treatment is very nice. I think she is the wife of the younger cancer doctor. Anyways, she is the only reason I have not left. She does an awesome job despite the case load. She always remembers everyone's name and is compassionate, caring, and makes patients feel at ease. The rest of the chemo staff is blah and run of the mill going through the motions. Overall this place could be so much better. As it stands I would grade it a C minus for overall care from the moment you walk in until the time you leave.
