In my early years of Law enforcement I began training with Master Nelson, his self defense instruction in an TKD are top notch. After several years of losing contact for career changes and his diployment I have again found my friend and teacher Master Frank Nelson. He gives off positive energy and is felt in his training which helps build confidence, character and respect.
About Korean American Martial Arts Academy
Korean American Martial Arts Academy offers a unique and comprehensive martial arts experience. Led by Master Nelson, an experienced and dedicated instructor, the academy provides training in Taekwondo and Hapkido. Students learn traditional forms, self-defense techniques, and the rich history and spirit behind these disciplines.
The academy has a positive impact on individuals of all ages and backgrounds, fostering growth in physical fitness, discipline, and confidence. Parents have praised the academy for its supportive environment and the positive influence it has had on their children's behavior and well-being. One parent mentioned that their daughter loves taking lessons and aims to get to black belt, often staying after class because she just really loves going. Master Nelson is known for caring for each student and maintaining a balanced approach—being firm but supportive, which helps students succeed and stay motivated.
Many reviews highlight that Master Nelson is the real deal, genuinely caring about each student and aiming to make them the best they can be. The academy is recommended over other dojos, which some describe as money-driven schemes where students pay to play. Instead, the focus here is on personal growth, discipline, and building confidence for all students.

My 9yr old girl loves going to Taekwondo even on the hard days and is benefiting so much from Master Nelson's class! The growth we see in her carries over into her behavior at home and in school.
