I just received the worst experience ever when attempting to book an appointment with Deborah. The “approval process” for a loc retwist appointment is not outlined on Booksy and quite frankly made me extremely uncomfortable. The only clear policy on Booksy, is the cancellation policy. After booking I received a text requesting a video of my hair, info on last professional twist, requirements to post & tag on social media, as well as allow for recording and/or posting. After providing the info, I was deferred to her “manager” who proceeded to ask me several questions in attempt to persuade me to purchase a more expensive service. After answering all the questions he then said I would need to QUALIFY for the service I originally booked and he would not need to speak with her further to solidify the appointment. This made extremely uncomfortable. When I expressed my uncomfortably with this process, Deborah “explained” while continuing to over talk me and belittle my knowledge of the hair industry. If a consultation is required, I completely understand but this was not that and AGAIN was not made clear on the Booksy site. I’ve had locs for over 13 years and have never had this experience nor have I ever had to “qualify” for an appointment. Deborah canceled my appointment stating it’s not a good fit and I absolutely agree, if a client questions your extensive process for an appointment, I’d want a loctitian that cares enough to explain and NOT take it personal as this quite extensive for a simple appointment. She mentioned several times that she’s never had to step away from a client to explain her process to a potential client. She also made it clear that she doesn’t do one time appointments meaning I’d need to commit to a long term relationship. I explained I’d like to try her services and depending on results would then make a decision if I wanted to continue with future appointments which seemed to offend her. The entire process is unheard of. Good luck to anyone who books with her and make sure you AGREE to be a recurring client and whatever else she says if you want your appointment. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

This Stylist is very unprofessional. If you value your time and money I would suggest not booking with the stylist. Stylist changed the price and canceled appointment the day of.
