I will start off by saying that never in a million years would I have found myself at the forefront of completing all of the work associated with closing out someone’s life when they pass. After losing my father, this past June, I was certain that after all of the work was said and done for the memorial service, there would not be a lot left to take care of, but I was wrong lol.\\nIn the midst of the many “admin duties”, I found myself needing to contact a tax attorney regarding how taxes are processed when a lump sum is received.
