I was invited to join my grandson and son-in-law on a golf day. They play, I’m a spectator. 2 golf carts. Some excitement occurred right when heading to Hole 1: the starter had spotted an alligator. Gator went a different way, and we were off. The first bridge was rickety but not for long: it is going to be repaired this month. The course wanders around some beautiful homes that must have a golf ball or two fall on a roof or lawn. Not from us. Living in the course area, the cart and I enjoyed the golf game going on while I learned the nuances the course takes; an imaginative course that creates challenges for a weekend golfer. The Forest course is nice, especially after all the rain we have had in the area. The course is maintained fairly well. More grass clumps in the fairway than what you would expect and the greens played well. It’s worth the drive.
Very pleasant experience. Excellent staff, very accommodating from the pro staff to the restaurant personnel. The golf courses are fair and challenging. The only downside would be that several greens need attention.
