I don’t always have it in my budget to get a pedicure. But when I do this is the place that I love to go. They gave an amazing massage as part of the pedicure and do a wonderful job. They’ve been on time to all of my appointments and are easy to communicate with. It’s very clean inside. I always feel very relaxed after I leave and so it feels like a true spa experience. They have plenty of different options depending on your budget, but I always do the level 3 pedicure so I can get an extra long massage. The pressure is great. Some pedicure place. I have been going to the salon for over a decade. I use the same person each time. I quit going for almost a year because their prices became astronomical. I have returned; however, I only go once every five or six weeks because that's all I can afford.
I TOE'D YA! Was in desperate need of a self care day. I rarely if ever get a pedicure. Really only for special occasions (weddings, events, etc). But this time around was needed in the sense of needing to get out of the house and do something for myself. Decided on GL since it is the closest spot to the Vineyards located in the Crossroads Plaza right between Chase bank and Giovanni's. I had never been here before but figured why not at least try it. When you look for nail salons online, I have realized that they are similar to Chinese Restaurants. You never want to go to a Chinese restaurant that has a high rating because then it's not that good. But the ones with the low ratings, somehow always wind up to be some of the best you've ever tried. Mom got a mani pedi and I just got a pedi. I have the tendency to pick at my nails and always get reprimanded at nail salons for biting and picking at my nails. So I guess I saved myself an awkward situation. When we were picking colors for our nails, my mom asked one of the men who worked there about what brand she should use. She has psoriasis so putting nail polish on her finger nails isn't always the best idea. Some nail polishes are better for psoriasis whereas others are not. I guess the man had never heard of this before and didn't seem to care. So he kept mentioning for her to get gel/acrylics but that was not something we were even considering. It seems as though he was pushing the acrylics. (In my opinion this would be the absolute worst idea for psoriasis). We were taken right away since we called ahead of time. The pedicure was very nice. Each girl took their time and asked if we needed anything. The woman who did my nails, Mia, was amazing. Very sweet and had a good personality. The woman who did mom's nails, was a little on the rougher side of things. Mom could not understand her when she asked questions and both girls looked at me for clarification. Overall, the spot is clean. Staff is nice enough. Not sure if I would go back here. But I am glad mom was able to get some self care.
