Kountry Kutz is a barber shop in Monticello and is hands down one of the best barber shops. It is a pleasant experience and the shop of choice for many. The lady barber has a heart of gold, is the best, and goes above and beyond to ensure customers feel taken care of and look professional. She provides great haircuts, clean ups, trims, shaves, and does eyebrows. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, making customers feel like they are at home. It is a very nice place with awesome service and great conversation. The shop is highly recommended to anyone.
Absolutely love Tonya!!! She gave us the absolute best service!! My father is 84 with dementia and needed a haircut and beard trim. For most that would be a normal outing but dementia doesn’t work that way. But Tonya took such care of my dad and treated him with such dignity while giving him a great cut!! She put him at such peace, he went off to sleep in the chair. Recommend 1,000,000%.
Tonya was super friendly, knowledgeable and pricing was perfect!!
I was just walking by when Tonya called out to me like we’d known each other for years. “Hold on—where do you think you’re going with that fuzzy neck?” I couldn’t help but laugh. Next thing I knew, I was in the chair.
The shop has that classic, no-nonsense feel—mirrors, lights, a bit of character in every corner—but what really stands out is her attention to detail. She didn’t rush. Took her time, cleaned everything up, and made sure I walked out looking sharp instead of “just trimmed.”
What started as a funny moment turned into one of the best walk-in decisions I’ve made in a while.
