I’ve had the same hairstyle most of my life—very short with a mid fade. As a guy, it was always the easiest option. But for a long time, I had been thinking about growing my hair out and trying something different.
I finally committed to it, but for about 5 months, I struggled. I couldn’t figure out how to style it, and even though my barbers were great at fades, none of them were able to properly cut and shape my hair to match my face.
