Found Sound Records is a highly recommended destination for vintage vinyl enthusiasts. The store offers a great variety of used and vintage vinyl, especially in genres like prog, jazz, and world music, with solid selections in hip-hop and avant-garde. Prices are fair, with some great bargains available, although cheaper vinyl tends to be in VG+ condition. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Customers appreciate the organized layout and the chance to discover rare gems. Overall, it is considered one of the top record stores, especially for quality and rarity.
Don’t get to go as much as I’d like (two toddlers give me very little free/me time) but Ralph keeps a solid selection. Cozy, well curated and reasonably priced. Well rounded used vinyl from well known Rock/Jazz/Funk artists to the small label local Latin rare stuff. Definitely a NoMi hidden gem.
Killer selection of rare records, that you normally don’t see in another shops. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly shop owner. Recommend if you’re in the area five out of five.
Strong recommend for vintage vinyl hunters. You will probably find at least one thing here that you've never seen before. This is not a "new releases" store. This is a must only if you want used/vintage vinyl, especially prog, jazz, and world (although hip-hop and avant-garde sections pretty solid as well). Overall the prices are fair. I have found some great bargains, but to be fair, the cheaper vinyl veers more towards VG+. I've also found some obscurities and rarities (unpretentiously) mixed in, and those can get expensive (but again the prices are always fair). The owner is really nice and his partner owns a vintage store in the same strip. I'd put this in my top 20 record stores overall, especially considering the prices for this level of quality and rarity.
