We are extremely disappointed with our experience with “Manny.” On August 1, 2025, he personally came to pick up our Italian designer chair for reupholstery. Originally, he had quoted my mom $500 for the job, but when he arrived, he suddenly changed the price to $750 without a clear reason. After going back and forth, he finally agreed to $550, but only on the condition that we prepaid the full amount in cash immediately. He promised the work would take about three weeks.

I hired Manny to reupholster my furniture. Manny Mendez, aka Florentino, the owner of the business.
He presented himself as an expert and recommended a specific material, assuring me it was durable and resistant to dog scratches. The same material he uses on boats.
Based on his recommendation, I agreed and paid a 50% deposit of $1,000 via Zelle on August 2, 2024.
When the furniture was delivered on August 8, it arrived with visible oil stains and the material scratched easily, contrary to his assurances.
