On Sunday afternoon, July 6th, I experienced an unexpected heart attack and was admitted to Aventura Hospital. I was placed in Room 532—and what followed was an experience of care, compassion, and professionalism that far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. I want to take a moment to express my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary team at Aventura Hospital who quite literally became the difference-makers in my life during this critical time. From the moment I arrived, the charge nurses—Keisha and Ana—demonstrated not only clinical excellence but an uncommon level of empathy and attentiveness. They were calm under pressure, reassuring in tone, and meticulous in their care. I felt immediately safe under their supervision. I must also commend Dr. Nouri Nase, Dr. Betina Louis, and the other doctors whose names I do not remember whose expertise and decisive action gave me confidence that I was in the best possible hands. They were all thorough, direct, and, above all, human in how they related to me. And then, there was the entire support team: the other physicians, nurses, technicians, aides, and attendants who came in to deliver medications, check my vitals, respond to my calls, and assist with my needs—some whose names I unfortunately do not recall, but whose presence I will never forget. They carried out their duties with unwavering professionalism, genuine kindness, and grace. In a world where healthcare workers are often overworked and underappreciated, I want to make it clear that your team did not just meet expectations—they redefined them. What I experienced at Aventura Hospital wasn’t just care—it was exceptional, life-affirming service from people who clearly love what they do and understand the true calling of medicine.
