This place and Marty are THE BEST. I was in Miami Beach for an art fair and needed some music equipment at the last minute. It was a minor emergency and I was panicking. Marty patiently answered all of my phone calls and questions, and opened up the store early for me so I could get what I needed before the performance. I am not familiar with instruments and their accessories at all, but he helped me select everything and ensured that it was all compatible with each other. I have been living in South Beach for over 25 years. I am a professional musician and I play guitar. Marty is super knowledgeable about repairing and setting up the action on any number of musical instruments. He takes much pride in his work and is very meticulous in making sure any repairs he does are done correctly. I highly recommend the South Beach Music exchange and I am sure you will be extremely satisfied with anything you need done from intricate repairs on many various instruments to guitar action setups or just general maintenance. Marty is definitely qualified and if he cannot perform whatever task needed he will know someone who does. Amazingly fair pricing as well ! If you know then you know, Marty is a South Beach legend and has been serving musicians in the area forever. I remember coming in late night for a cable, he didn't have it in stock so he legit cut two cables and splices them together by hand and they worked perfectly, only charged me a few bucks for the trouble. Class act, been knowing the guy since I was a kid now I'm an old fuck myself. Love this place.
