I had been going to Dr. Hawkins for about 20 years, so when he retired and Dr. Gessner took over the practice, I was naturally a little nervous about seeing a new dentist. I’m happy to say that the transition has been wonderful, and I’ve been very pleased with Dr. Gessner and his team over the past couple of years.

It was especially comforting to see many of the familiar staff members stay with the practice, along with some great new faces. Everyone is friendly, professional, and always makes me feel welcome.

One thing that really stood out to me was how patient and understanding Dr. Gessner and his staff were when I was having difficulty adjusting to a mouth prop they use during certain procedures. My previous dentist did not use this device, and I found it very uncomfortable at first. Rather than rushing me, they took the time to remove it and reinsert it several times so I could adjust at my own pace. Their patience made all the difference, and before long I became comfortable with it. That experience showed me how much they genuinely care about their patients’ comfort.

I also appreciate how thorough Dr. Gessner is when discussing treatment. Whether he was repairing a cracked tooth or treating a cavity, he took the time to explain exactly what he was doing, why it needed to be done, and what to expect throughout the process. He never makes me feel rushed and always encourages questions. Being informed and educated about my dental care makes a huge difference in my comfort level and confidence as a patient.

He has also introduced me to products and treatment options, including Invisalign, but I appreciate that he is never pushy and allows me to make decisions on my own timeline.

I was so impressed with the practice that I referred both my elderly mother and my husband. My mother’s first visit was for a filling that had fallen out, and they were able to get her in quickly and take care of the problem. More recently, she needed root canal work on another tooth. Dr. Gessner coordinated her care with a specialist conveniently located next door and then completed the treatment with a new crown. The entire process was smooth, stress-free, and well organized, and my mother was extremely pleased with her experience.

My husband is now a patient as well and has been equally pleased with Dr. Gessner and his team.

Finding a new dentist after being with the same one for so many years can be stressful, but Dr. Gessner and his staff made the transition seamless. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, professional, and patient-focused dental office.

I've been going to springs family dentistry for years now. Our new dentist, Dr Gessner, has been an outstanding dentist. He is refreshing each room with new technology and the staff seem to like him a lot. He has been patient with me, explaining what he sees, and is being proactive and keeping my teeth healthy rather than treating the problems as they happen. I appreciate his approach to prevention very much. I highly recommend this practice.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Gessner and his staff this morning, and I am thoroughly impressed. It was, by far and away, the best dental appointment I've had.

Dr. Gessner, Lisa, and Julie were incredibly thorough and patient with me, and they genuinely took the time to educate me about my gum health (including some problem-solving and proposing reasonable solutions for my recent gum sensitivity issues; unfortunately other dental offices have not been as thorough).

I will absolutely be visiting Dr. Gessner and his team again, and I (and my gums) can't thank Lisa enough for the most gentle, thorough deep cleaning I've ever received.

This was my first visit with Dr Gessner and I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. The staff is knowledgeable, very sweet and very kind. I felt like everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and put me at ease (I have always been nervous about dental visits). Dr Gessner was amazing too. I was having a crown done and he explained every part of the process, what he was doing and how it would feel. He also followed up a few days later with a text asking how I was doing.
