Previously I had left a scathing review about my treatment now I need to retract that review. Dr Desai is a very good physician. After his very thoughtful explanation of the treatment that I received I realize that the cataract surgery was not intended to correct the floaters. The floaters though large are something that I need to accept. Surgerry for the floaters could result in a negative experience, even blindness. Dr Desai took time to go over everything again. Now I am begging him to do the cataract in the left eye. The first surgery for the right eye went so well. Dr. Kirsch saved my right eye about six years ago, after suffering a retina detachment. The surgical repair has held up perfectly, after a highly technical surgery. This proves to me, that I found the best Doctor and facility to accomplish what was needed. I HIGHLY recommend taking your eye issues to “The Eye Institute of West Florida, and ask to see Dr. Kirsch. I'm Donna Carlson. I have had corneal dystrophy for several years. I've been to 2 ophthalmologist over the years and they did nothing about it. My vision was getting worst. Finally my son took me to his doctor in Tampa and his doctor sent me to Dr Neel Desai in Tampa. Dr Desai developed a procedure to correct my cornea. Now my vision is perfect. I don't have to wear glasses. Thank you Dr Desai.
