I have extreme anxiety and an absolute fear of the dentist office, and just so you have it, I broke a tooth on a weekend. I was in constant pain, and fear of having to go, so I found an office open on the weekend (big plus) and had my wife make me an appointment (hahaha). When I got there, the office was clean, modern and inviting. the receptionist, a young gentleman whose name I don't remember, was pleasent and friendly. He seemed to actually enjoy being at work. I was called back by Dr. Khattak, who would be my dentist for the day. I explained to her my anxiety and that my oral history is not the best. I expressed that I would only like to focus on the problem today. She was extremely understanding,compassionate and comforting. Dr. Khattak promised we could go at my pace and to get things taken care of. I ended up needing an extraction for the broken tooth and on a second one that had broken years ago. she explained the process and my options. she explained she likes to take things slower and work out the tooth and not just use brute force and cause trauma. She exceeded in all these things, and was constantly asking if I was ok and if my pain levels were in check. She never made me feel embarrassed or anything about my oral hygiene. I ended up feeling so comfortable I was even humming songs on the radio while she worked. I'd also like to give a huge shout-out to the assistant (Mabel I believe)? she was just as comforting and compassionate. This visit greatly helped reduce any anxiety, I had a out going to the dentist. thank you again to all the staff.
