This week I had a therapist who I experienced her demeanor as somewhat reserved and not particularly welcoming, and there wasn’t any check-in during the session regarding pressure or comfort. I had booked a deep tissue massage, though the pressure felt more in the mild to medium range rather than deep.

I also wanted to offer a small suggestion regarding the face rest—using a softer fabric pillowcase instead of a hand towel could make the experience more comfortable, as the towel felt a bit rough and left marks on my face.
