my comments on the back of her comment
I’ve contemplated writing this review so many times because it’s hard to leave such negative comments but it’s important to share the experience our friends and family had here. To start, I noticed the obituary that was completed online was 1. Full of grammatical errors and 2. Full of inaccurate information.. I called 4 days before the funeral and asked how we could get that updated - they said to send an email with the updated obituary, I did within minutes and I’m sad to say the pastor still used the old obituary and the new one was never replaced on their website. Next, we provided a USB drive of the slideshow two days prior to the funeral to ensure everything looked great and the format was good - to my surprise when I got to the funeral home the format was completely off, no one called or told us - thank God I got there minutes before others arrived and Alexis (the only good part of this place) assisted me in air-playing it from my phone. THEN, we realize the date of death is wrong on the handouts being given and online so the staff had to rush and correct that. Something else to note, I’m not sure who does the makeup here but for the sake of your families peace please bring someone else in because my friend couldn’t have looked further from herself - we didn’t even recognize her! Once the funeral was over and the pastor sat down an older gentleman very rudely came in the room and said “is that it, yall done” and when no one responded he said it louder and ruder… I was shocked. We all then go outside as the family says their final goodbyes and the same older gentleman comes out of the side doors and says “I need the pallbearers” (something to note - this family hadn’t experienced many funerals and really could of benefited from kind, clear, direction and advice from the funeral home) and no one moved. He then yelled “well yall should have that about that before now”. SIR, this is your job to guide families not everyone is just full of knowledge of what needs to happen at a funeral! Worst experience ever while grieving the loss of my beloved bestfriend.
