The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience pleasant. However, some customers have experienced issues with promotions and discounts. The teacher discount, announced over the intercom, was not clearly explained or applied correctly by the manager, leading to frustration. Overall, while Goodwill has its advantages, its high prices may not be worth the visit for some.
We don’t live here but hit up this Goodwill anytime we’re in town. It is amazing!! We spent $125 and heard the announcement about teacher discount. The manager has to be called over since cashier was unsure about this promotion. The manager came over and first thing she said was, “You have to show your id.” The cashier and I let her know we did and I pulled my ID out again. Then she said, “You know you’re not going to get 10% off of anything.” I replied, “I don’t know what it was off of, I just heard it over the intercom that teachers get 10% off. Lots of stuff. Prices are HIGH. Friendly, helpful employees.
Goodwill use to be my go to store. There are other thrift stores in area that have a lot better prices. Goodwill has become a corporate money maker.
