Vanessa and Kristin are amazing trainers. They are 3rd generation dog trainers, and you cannot go wrong with hiring them. They love the dogs, and are really great at explaining to clients how to continue working with their dogs. Love them!

I would not recommend that anyone board their dog here. Vanessa is way too busy with way to many dogs for her and her few employees to handle. They also use e collars(aka shock collars) to train and unless you are ok with that, I would not recommend that you do more than simple training or day care which seems to be fine, although there was one time in which ours came home seemingly more hungry than he should have been. So, that was concerning, but overall that was a pretty good experience. Despite expressing concern of our dogs safety through hurricane Isias which could put him in danger if something were to happen, Vanessa did not seem to have much of a plan besides... read full review

We want to thank Vanessa and her staff for training our rescue Ginger. We were hesitant about sending our rescue away for the 2 week “board and train” but we have to say, Ginger has come home with manners. Fur Life K-9 Academy is a professionally run business with the dogs best interest at heart. Vanessa is a third generation Obedience and Service Dog Trainer that knows her stuff. When it came time to pick Ginger up from camp, our training began. Vanessa spent 2 hours with us going over commands and how to keep moving forward with our precious rescue.
