I am sharing my experience so future patients can make a fully informed decision.

In July 2023, I had a breast lift with augmentation after having two children and significant weight loss. I informed Dr. Lombardo that I am a weightlifter and very active. He recommended implants under the muscle.

The surgery itself went smoothly; however, the implants never settled. At every post-op visit, the doctor noted that things weren't right, but he wanted to see how I progressed. At the 6-month post-op visit, the doctor stated the left implant had drifted and that a revision surgery was necessary. I was told I would only be responsible for anesthesia costs.

During that visit, I asked about adding armpit lipo. The doctor said there wouldn't be much fat to remove, so I asked for pricing with and without it so I could decide. When I went to schedule the subsequent surgery with the office manager, I was given a single quote that included lipo. When I decided against the lipo and asked for a revised quote for just the revision/anesthesia, she informed me that “the price would be the same either way.”

At that moment, I felt pressured into accepting. As a single mother, cost transparency matters to me, and I did not feel I had a real option to refuse the additional procedure.

I paid the deposit, but as the date grew closer, I became increasingly uncomfortable about proceeding. Because of that discomfort, I avoided further contact with the office. I did not return calls or attend the scheduled pre-op appointment or surgery. I should have formally canceled, but my avoidance reflected how uneasy I felt continuing care there.

Looking back, I do not feel the implant placement, size, or shape were appropriate for my anatomy and lifestyle.

I am not writing this out of anger, but to encourage future patients to get multiple opinions before choosing a plastic surgeon.
