I had some health problems and was several months late on my income taxes. I had used James and Harris in the past and called. To my surprise I was told I might be too late to be "accepted" but was told I would get a call back. No surprise, I was not "accepted" and not called back. For them to be a fair weather friend but unwilling to help me get right after I had made a mistake was bad, to fail to call me back and tell me as promised is just trashy. Update, I contacted another CPA and was not treated as a pariah because I was late on my taxes, I sat down and he prepared them on the spot, no big deal.

Set an appointment a week in advance drove an hour to St. Augustine, was told within 3 minutes that they couldn't do a pojected compilation.. and that he was busy with tax returns.. the accountant scribbled some guys name on a post it.. and told me that he could probably help me.. I drove a hour back to Jacksonville and got my brothers accountant in Chicago to do the work for me.. I don't know I guess they were pretty friendly..
