I just had my best Friday the 13th experience today here! this is my 4th event in a row, though first one at this shop. we chose them for their superior flash sheet, and reasonable yet traditional pricing at $31. we arrived at 1045am, and the shop was set to open at 12. there were already about a sozen people lined up outside and we took our place at the end. I engaged the person behind us in conversation, and she shared that she doesn't ever participate in Friday 13th events, but came because she loved the shop and wanted to support them, plus she trusts the artists. she proudly showed us the piece that had been done at this shop some months prior, right above her knee. we were able to look at it to see it's quality, and it was beautifully done. the woman went on to say that this shop was amazing on every level, from the decor to the privacy rooms and the friendly staff. and she was definitely right! they only allowed 6 people in at a time, which was wonderful because inside the shop was never too busy or crowded. there were even comfy seats for everyone to rest on while they waited. AC was on full blast lol yay. the nice dude manning the door was very good about passing out free bottles of water, something I've never seen done at a Friday 13th. the beautiful front desk lady (who I owe a pair of white overalls to lol :P ) was very friendly and was able to answer all questions promptly. my artist came out and took me back to a private room. she already had the transfer paper ready to go. she cleaned my skin and removed excess hair. she coached me through proper leg placement during the transfer process, and made sure it lined up well. the first try was too high, as I was trying to match a similar small floral tattoo on my right inner ankle. this new one was on my left inner ankle. the second placement was perfect, and I hopped up on the padded table that still had some marks from it having just been sanitized. got into position, and the tattoo was done before I knew it! she had such a light touch it barely hurt. she then offered shading, commenting that the older piece on my opposite ankle had heavier lines, and was darker. I happily accepted and she shaded in the small details quickly and painlessly again. I told her this was my best Friday 13th event so far, and she told me she was actually the shop owner lol. I was able to relay to her directly what a positive experience this has been. she was appreciative and so nice! this is my new home base for Friday 13th events!
