My stylist was superb. She was quick and efficient and did a great job. She offered tips on how to maintain my silkpressed natural hair and kept me abreast of everything she used so I could attempt to do it myself. I was in and out in about 2 hours which is virtually unheard of in salons these days. I would definitely return and I'd tell family and friends about my pleasant experience. Economically priced as well. Loved it!!!

I'm only giving this establishment 2 stars and thats generous. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the shop was very clean but the braider (African lady) not sure of her name was not professional, before I visited the shop we exchanged text messages and I sent her the style that I wanted along with a video. She agreed that she could do the style. Long story short she did not and charged me $100. I could not get it fixed because I'd already spend 2 hours and 30 minutes in the shop and had to rush home to get ready for work. I texted her to see if she would be able to fix it to my liking but the only times she had available didn't match up with my work schedule. I then asked her to only send half back because I would have to take my hair out and get it done to my liking elsewhere. She refused and then proceeded to say " The first time I did your hair at my old work place, I said I won't do your hair any more. Sorry I didn't give you what you want. Enjoy your hair because I know you will never take it out" I have never had any problems with this woman in my LIFE and now I'm starting to think she messed my hair up because she thinks I am someone else.

I have been going to Ivory Johnson for over 15 years and from relaxers to sew-ins to my natural transition she has done it all her custom color creations are to "dye" for. Specializing in healthy hair is essential and she does!!!!
