Respite care and hospice care are also available. The community is known for its clean and friendly environment, with above-average food and a convenient location near the Mayo Clinic. Residents appreciate the excellent range of living quarters, including apartments and houses, both for rent and ownership, all in a great setting. The full range of services available includes independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and rehab, all in one place. There are around 30 ongoing internal activities, from visual arts clubs to workshops, along with many opportunities to enjoy Jacksonville's cultural offerings, such as the Jax Symphony and local restaurants. The resident population boasts amazing backgrounds, skills, and active engagement in advising management on enhancing services. Management at Cypress Village focuses on resident concerns and maintains transparency through personal communication, newsletters, and community meetings. The staff, including those in housekeeping, maintenance, security, and dining, have been praised for their helpful and professional demeanor. Since the arrival of Chef Danny, the dining experience has improved significantly, with residents enjoying high-quality meals at the Lakeside venue. Cypress Village strives to create a welcoming and active community, where staff go above and beyond to make residents feel special and cared for, contributing to a fulfilling and vibrant lifestyle.
As 2 year residents, my spouse and I know that we made the right decision to move to CV. Here are the key reasons that were important to us:
-Reputation- CV has been here in Jax for 30 or so years and has the organizational experience during good and bad times e.g. 2008/2009 financial debacle and Covid. CV has always been viewed during those years as a professional top tier CCRC.
-Living Quarters - The range of residences is excellent - apartments, houses- rental and owned- all with a wide range of sizes and accommodations. The place as a whole is in a great setting and next to Mayo.

When my (late) wife and I decided to come to Cypress Village in 2018, it was after she had carefully researched all CCRCs in northern Florida. This decision had been extremely positive for us, and now for me.
Although no place can be perfect (chronic elevator problems, being addressed) Cypress Village has come as close as I could possibly hope.
The staff here has generally been exceptional. I will include a few examples who come to mind:

I've lived here in a house 20 years, and feel I made an excellent choice. The campus is beautiful and well maintained, with helpful and competent staff. I enjoy opportunities to make music , use the techno gym, take exercise classes, play outdoor sports, eat at several venues whenever I choose, take a bus to the Symphony, shopping, or doctors, and select among a variety of outings, performances, and activities offered. A full life with many friends, who could ask for more?
