Just finished CTC with Cypress. The school is top notch. Saw a few negative reviews but realized after seeing it first hand they had to be from students that thought they would be gifted a CDL. You have to put in the work. They make sure their drivers earn their liscense. Instructors are amazing. After experiencing it first hand all the negative reviews have to be from lazy people not willing to put in the work required and shouldnt be behind the wheel of a semi truck anyways. The entire crew is great, Ken, Andy, Kevin, Johnny and Derrick are amazing. They work with you hands on but also don't babysit the few who just dont have what it takes, they can't drive the truck...read full review
I recently completed the 4-week training program at CTC with Cypress Truck Lines, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience.
The instructors—Ken, Derek, Andy, and Kevin—are incredibly knowledgeable. They did a fantastic job teaching the fundamentals required to build a solid foundation as a future professional driver. The program is thoroughly in-depth; I gained extensive hands-on experience with pre-trip inspections, backing, paper logbooks, map reading, and trip planning. Just completed there 4 weeks cdl training and passed the cdl testing all in all great experiences ken,Lawrence,woods and derek are all really knowledgeable and will make sure you know how and understand the task at hand and if you have questions or don't understand they will break it down for you. If you are just starting in the trucking industry and don't know where to start i would recommend Cypress Truck lines School.
