I'm retired and really didn't need another suit, but my partner's granddaughter is getting married and everyone is supposed to be dressed formally and in Black. The manager, Shannon, spent time with me trying to match a black jacket I bought elsewhere the day before, since I really didn't want to spend what a men's wearhouse suit would cost. She wrote down the sizes I was looking for and two other stores that might have something in my price range. She was spot on and I was able to buy a black suit at one of those stores for a LOT less. Although they were understaffed today (especially in the shoe department where one person is running back and forth between getting shoe sizes and checking people out), the staff was professional and patient and so very helpful.
I’d like to especially comment on Margaretha, in the women’s clothing department. Today is a big sales day with more than normal shoppers. There was a long line of ladies in the check out line, with some grumpy Karens (lol) who loudly proclaimed their frustration.
Margaretha waited on me with extreme patience and professionalism, not reacting to their outbursts, but instead calmly calling some other sales... read full review

Belk is an amazing place to refresh a professional wardrobe. Kelly at the Avenues helped us SO much today! She noticed that one of our items didn’t get the full discount and took the time to go through everything until she found it—she saved us $50!
