My regular barber up and retired and I haven’t found an old fashioned barber shop in Arlington yet. But my hair was getting long enough to be in an 80s hair band and I needed to do something. Years ago I went to a place at Baymeadows and Phillips but they were closed, so I saw Aveda and called. Appointment was set just a couple of days down the road so it’s not like they’re booked eight months in advance. Went there last Saturday and the place was PACKED so the students and teachers do a great job. I got this young lady named Vanessa. She was SUPER professional, asking me a ton of questions and went off of a three year old selfie. She consulted with her teacher and they both came up with a plan to cut my hair and color it. She was on point the whole time, very friendly and didn’t mess around. And the teachers checked two or three times just to make sure it was going well, so you know they care. I got the haircut AND color for only about ten dollars less than my prior haircuts. Been getting a lot of compliments on the hair as well. I think I will be Vanessa’s first repeat client as I booked an appointment with her first Sat in Jan. Very nice looking place with affordable hair care, friendly professional staff and solid supervision by the teachers. I may make this my go to place for haircuts
