I had the misfortune of getting lightheaded at the tail end of a run recently. I went down really hard. My head and right shoulder hit and slightly slid across the driveway. As i tried to pick myself up, i quickly noticed I was bleeding profusely. I staggered to my front door. luckily I got in and laid in the hallway awaiting my son. We headed to the Beaches Baptist Hospital, Emergency Room. I was encountered by the members of the staff. I was treated by the most incredible female medical team of professionals. You could hope for. My respect for them was, and is unparalleled. My thoughts went to my Mother, also a very bright and talented woman. And realized I was in the prescience of people who were life savers. They literally glued me back together in some spots. and stitched me in others. Ordered tests to ensure there was zero damage inside my head. I was, and remain humbled by this outstanding group of women. I will Always feel indebted to them.
